The Wolfsonian-Florida International University museum and research center The Wolfsonian’s headquarters, located at 1001 Washington Avenue in Miami Beach, originally housed the Washington Storage Company (1927, Robertson & Patterson, architects; addition 1936, Robert M. Little, architect). During the period 1988-92, the facility was renovated to house the museum and its administrative offices.

Conceived by Miami-based architects Mark Hampton and William Kearns, the renovation involved the addition of two floors of public exhibition space. While creating a state-of-the art facility, the architects were able to maintain the feeling of the original building.
