Information about this class can be found at: http://www.contemporarycollegealgebra.org Most of the Internet research for this class can be done through: This Contemporary College Algebra will have a “you can do it” attitude. You will go beyond what you think you can do. You will see first hand how mathematics affects you as interconnected, global citizens and how you can apply both the content and the approach of this discipline to your daily lives as well as to a world committed to sustainable development. You will define a “best” model (Ex. Linear, quadratic, etc.) for a given set of data, and after its derivation, you will use it to predict relevant events so as to propose reasonable societal restrictions for improvement of future environmental conditions (G). In other words, the equations are actually used to make decisions about real-world situations.
Some practice questions for linear functions... Some practice questions for quadratic functions.
