Assessment should measure what is worth learning, not just what is easy to measure.  (Lynn Steen)

My tests are divided into three groups: C, B, and A.

Group C:

    Usually 15-20 minutes

    Usually 5-10 questions

Basic skills, vocabulary, definition, fill-in the blanks...

If you get less than a 57%, you get an F for the test

If you get a 57%, then you get a D-

If you get a 60%, then you get a D

If you get a 64%, then you get a D+

If you get a 67%, then you get a C-

If you get a 70%, then you get a C

If you get a 74%, then you get a C+

If you get a least a 70 in Group C, then I look at the next group of questions

Group B:

    Usually 15-20 minutes

    Usually 5-10 questions

Intermediate skills, concepts, word problems, real life applications

    If you get a 60%, then you get a B- (77%)

    If you get a 70%, then you get a B (80%)

    If you get a 80%, then you get a B+ (84%)

If you get a least a 70 in Group B, then I look at the next group of questions

Group A:

    Usually 15-20 minutes

    Usually 5-10 questions

    Advanced skills, creativity

    If you get a 60%, then you get a A- (87%)

    If you get a 70%, then you get a A (90%)

    If you get a 80%, then you get a A+ (94%)

To get 100%, you need to answer ALL the questions correctly, in all three groups
